Meeting notes that never keep your audio.
Velio Notes records on your own computer, transcribes every meeting and turns it into clear notes. Sound goes straight from your device to speech recognition. We never store it, and everyone in the call is told before it starts.
No bot joins your call. Works with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Slack huddles and any other app on your computer.
How it works
Three steps, and nothing extra sitting in your meeting.
1. Press record on your computer
Velio Notes captures your microphone and the sound of the meeting app. Nobody new appears in the participant list, and it works the same in every app.
2. Transcribed as you talk
Audio streams from your device straight to speech recognition over an encrypted connection with a short-lived key. Add your own vocabulary for names and terms.
3. Notes you can use
A summary, decisions and action items, with the full transcript next to them. Search across meetings and share notes with your team.
Privacy is the product
Many meeting tools keep a copy of every call on their servers. Velio Notes is built the other way round.
Your audio is never stored by us
Sound goes from your device to transcription and is gone. If you want to keep a recording, it stays on your computer and deletes itself on a schedule you choose.
No voiceprints, ever
We tell speakers apart without biometrics: names from the meeting window, calendar attendees, and "Speaker 1, 2" that you can rename.
Not used for training
Your meetings are never used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's. Our speech provider does not train on API data either.
Encrypted with a separate key
Transcripts and notes are encrypted on our servers with a key kept apart from the database. You can delete any meeting, or everything, at any time.
Everyone in the meeting knows
Recording people without telling them is wrong, and in many places it is illegal. Velio Notes makes notice part of every meeting, and you choose at least one way to give it.
- Email to attendees, 30 minutes before. On by default for calendar meetings. Anyone can press "I object" without creating an account, and you see the warning before you start.
- Say it aloud. Velio Notes shows a short phrase at the start, recognises it in the transcript and logs it. If you forget, it reminds you after two minutes.
- A message in the meeting chat. Optional, posted when recording begins.
- A notice log for every meeting, so you can always show who was told and how.

The audio is transcribed and not stored. Attendees: you, Maria Ivanova, Daniel Cohen, Priya Shah.
If you do not want this meeting to be transcribed, let the organiser know with one click. No account needed.

Questions
Does a bot join my meeting?
No. Velio Notes runs on your computer and listens to your microphone and the meeting app's sound, the same way you do. Nothing new joins the call.
Where is the audio stored?
Not on our servers. Audio goes from your device to speech recognition and is discarded. You can choose to keep recordings on your own computer, with automatic deletion after a period you set.
Who does the transcription?
We use OpenAI's speech recognition through its API. Your device connects to it directly with a key that expires within minutes. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models. The full list of providers is in our Privacy Policy.
How do I sign in?
With your SayVelio account. Velio Notes is made by SayVelio Technologies, so one sign-in works for both, while Velio Notes keeps its own account, plans and data.
Is it legal to record my meetings?
It depends on where you and the other participants are. Some places require everyone's consent, not just a notice. Velio Notes gives you the tools to tell people and record objections, but you decide when to record and are responsible for following the law that applies to you.
How much does it cost?
Velio Notes is free during the beta. We will announce plans before the beta ends, and nobody will be charged without choosing a plan.
